OpenPNM version 2.7 is now officially released. The changelog is posted on Github.
The most important thing to note is that we expect this to be the last release in the Version 2 line. There are a number of backwards incompatible changes we plan to make so will now begin developing version 3. The changes main involve an improved way to compute the transport conductance. We decided that we did not want to support both the old and new ways, since we already have a hard time staying on top of things. So instead, we’ll make a clean break, rip out the old functions and start fresh. We will provide a detailed update and explanation about this new approach once it’s implemented, so stay posted.
